The library is a welcoming place where students can get comfortable in bean bags or a sofa and read, borrow a book and discuss. In the adjoining “Makerspace” area students can engage with visiting presenters, take part in co-curricular activities – such as Chess Club, Choral Speaking, and Mini Vinnies. The area has been created specifically to create, discuss and tinker.
Students and staff have access to a range of non-fiction and reference materials, as well as an extensive fiction collection, from the latest Andy Griffiths titles to old favourites and classics. Students can search the library catalogue at school and off-site.
Our Library Technician Mr Wray is always willing to help students and staff to choose the resources they require and make their library experience an enjoyable one.
Choral Speaking Club
The Choral Speaking Club is open to students in years 3 to 6. The students meet once a week to listen to traditional and modern poetry, and to recite poetry, prose and dramatic works as an ensemble. The club performs at school assemblies, the Art Show, the Christmas concert, and at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival.
