My Chinese Teacher is a comprehensive language and culture program that connects our students with native-speaking Mandarin teachers based in China.
Using the latest video conferencing technology, the language teacher (based in Beijing) runs a program that has been designed to align with the Australian Curriculum, with adjustments for WA-specific requirements.
By engaging our students and taking them beyond the four walls of the classroom, we provide context for learning the language and the skills to equip them for a truly global world.
After the video conference lesson, the classroom teacher conducts follow-up activities with the students to further consolidate their learning.
This Program is run in Years 3 to 6, and lessons occur once a week for each class.
